Work Jacket, Railroad Denim
Work Jacket, Railroad Denim
The idea for this jacket has been stewing in my mind for a long, long time. I wanted to create a piece of outerwear that felt utilitarian, sturdy, and equally confident on the job or over a summer dress. The details are literally stitched together with yellow Hi-Vis thread - an ode to hard, manual labour. The under collar dials in a feminine feel with easter egg shades of pink and purple. I love this jacket - it’s functional, comfortable, and pleasantly versatile. It's also worth mentioning that this fabric is so, so nice - substantial in weight with more stretch than you might think for a workwear denim. It's my best (and it came from overstock so once it's gone, she gone!).
Materials and fit:
Cotton/poly/spandex - exact amounts unknown. This denim is mid-weight and has a wonderful stretch to it, consider sizing down if you'd like a more fitted but comfortable look. This jacket has a boxy silhouette with very subtly shaped side seams to follow the curve of the hips for an A++ fit.
These measurements are based on the full circumference of the garment. Please double check with your own measurements before selecting your size!
